First permit free; second permit $30
Monroe publishes up to two vehicle-specific permits per residence located on Main Street between Madison Street and Ferry Avenue. Vehicles must be registered to the eligible address. The first permit is free and the second costs $30.
Expiry and parking limits
The permit expires at 11:59:59 PM on December 31 of the permit year. It is not valid for parking on Main Street, even though the eligible residences are on that street.
The city validates residency and vehicle registration and determines where an issued permit is valid under its resolution. These are published program terms, not an individual eligibility decision, permit purchase or space guarantee. Other parking restrictions still apply.
