Current cost, renewal and street-parking limit
Sacramento currently charges qualifying residents $0 for residential parking permits. Renewal follows each permit area's two-year cycle, and a permitted vehicle may not stay in the same street space longer than 72 hours.
Eligibility boundary
The City must still confirm that the address and unit qualify. Some units built after 2022 may not qualify even inside an existing RPP area. A permit does not override posted signs, citations, the three-block use rule or other restrictions.
