Overnight parking permission
On ordinary, non-exempt mornings, Wauwatosa prohibits city-street parking from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. without overnight permission. Requests must be made before 3 a.m.; permission is limited to guests, stalled vehicles, or construction making off-street parking impossible, and 15 nights per vehicle per year.
Snow and holiday exceptions
A declared snow emergency prohibits street parking and voids existing permissions. The City's portal separately lists a no-special-permit notice for the mornings of December 25 and 26, December 31 and January 1. Those mornings are excluded from this ordinary-day answer; confirm the current notice with the City.
Permission is not automatic
Request before 3 a.m. through the official portal or call 414-471-8430. This answer does not grant permission, verify a plate, count prior nights or approve eligibility. Posted restrictions, private property, municipal lots and special vehicle exemptions need separate confirmation.
